Only you can decide what level you will take your fishing skills to, if  Fly-fishing is your interest , I recommend becoming involved with a local fly-fishing club or organization. Also watch for local fly-fishing seminars or fishing clinics… I have been Fly-fishing over 30 years now and guiding for 5 years...believe me; I still have a great deal to learn on both levels.

I have enjoyed the outdoors all of my life. I grew up enjoying fishing and hunting but found out what I like best was not the catch. That being out there was what I enjoyed. I get more pleasure watching some one casting a well placed line than bringing in that big Walleye. Of course the picture does not taste as good as the Walleye. But the picture can be enjoyed longer and by more people. From my own experience I have learned that we take the beauty of our planet for granted. Especially if, it is in our own, backyard. My love of photography was built from my desire to share with everyone they beauty we have around us that we may have overlooked or been unable to experience. But some times, with my photos, I also point out the errors we have made. With my hope being that maybe I can stop others from making some of the mistakes I (we) have made. Some people have thanked me for, through my pictures, taking them along on my vacations. Some have suggested that sharing some of the places I go to is like letting the world know where their secret fishing hole is located. Some have thanked me for letting them revisit places they can no longer get to. Some have thanked me for showing them what they missed while they were on the same trail or shoreline I was on.
